One of my most cherished chauvinist memories occurred during my pre-university tour at the Butterdome, when all faculties and clubs and shit set up kiosks and try to grab the attention of the unsuspecting guppie. My friend Sacha and I were walking around when some perky girl and her cohort at the Women's Studies table stopped us and what followed I will cherish forever.
Girl: "Hey, wouldn't you like to study women?" Bo: "Too late, I already do."
And I just walked away. I felt good about that exchange for about four years, until I decided that I was probably just one in a long line of people who gave her the same kind of answer. But about five minutes later I stopped caring and it was funny again. Always remember: the good faculties are the ones who don't need to badger you into persuing them. The one that has the least to offer shouts the loudest.
Also, I dunno if you saw it, but I did reply to your LJ comment and I'm up for a tea outing if you'd like.
Hi there! Well, like most university students, I’m going to define myself through the major and minor as an introduction. My major is Comparative Literature (which is fabulous) and my minor is English (which is kinda boring). I love the look of 1950’s fashion and secretly crave to dress in a trench coat, fedora and classic heels every day of my life. Along the same vein, I’m also fascinated with pulp fiction, and secretly aspire to become a femme fatale. Oh, and I have an unhealthy obsession with shoes. Seriously. Ask anyone.
